Hardware and E-Liquid Caution in The Heat

Hardware and E-Liquid Caution in The Heat

Even though summer hasn’t officially started yet, it pretty much feels like it already. This type of weather’s great for vaping outdoors. However, the summer heat can be taxing on your vaping device and epecially the e-liquid if you’re not cautious.

When it comes to e-liquid, the sun and the heat aren’t on your side. When it’s left in direct sunlight or in a hot car, it begins to break down and change flavor. The heat not only makes the flavor different, but it can also break down the nicotine (making the strength weaker) and alter the appearance of the e-liquid. This could lead to clogging of your tank or atomizer. Not fun to clean, that’s for sure.

As if that’s not distressing enough, the warm conditions can also ruin the battery in your vaping device. When the temperture reaches 100°F, the lithium-ion battery’s cells get damaged, causing it to hold less of a charge.

This is why some vapers out there don’t take in to consideration their vehicle as being damaging in the summer to their electronic cigarette or MOD. We all know that cars and trucks get extremely hot during this time of the year because they’re in direct contact with the sunlight. So, if your vaping device storage area’s the front seat, don’t be shocked if your battery tends to start dying quickly.

Luckily, these problems can be avoided! For starters, if possible, keep you vaping supplies in a cool, dark, and dry location. It’s best to keep e-liquid in a refrigerator, but if you’re taking the boat out onto the lake or ocean, then you should pack all your vaping devices and e-liquid bottles in a cooler to keep them protected from the hot conditions.

Coolers are a smart idea for road trips as well. However, if you find yourself in a squeeze, make the attempt to keep everything out of direct sunlight as much as possible by keeping them in a backpack or underneath a seat perhaps.

At the end of the day, you spent your hard earned money on your vaping devices and e-liquids from My Freedom Smokes. If you want them to last longer, then make sure you follow these tips.
